Before you actually apply? I know the more you apply for things, it lowers your credit score. I was wanting to transfer a balance and close another credit card but want to make sure the limit will be enough to cover the other one.
Is there a way to tell on credit card offers what your limit is going to be?heart rate monitor
When you decide for a balance transfer it doesn%26#039;t mean that your obligation for payments towards your outstanding balances with the existing credit card company cease to exist. You will have to pay the credit card company all the monthly payments. One way you can save money is to just send the monthly minimum payments to the existing credit card company. This way you won%26#039;t default and invite penalty.
The next step is to sign up with the credit card which you sought for transferring your balances, and fill up the balance transfer application.
When you receive a balance transfer offer from the new credit card company, it%26#039;s time to verify the offer and call your old credit card company about the balance transfer. Get the statements of billing from the old credit card company and ensure that your outstanding balances are $0.
After transferring your balances, it%26#039;s time to close the old credit card. Call up the old credit card company and get it closed. Get the information about this closure in writing. Ask the old credit card company to inform all the major credit bureaus about the closure of the credit card. Read more from: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/artic...

usually not -they don%26#039;t decide until you acually send in the app and they check your credit. I%26#039;ve gotten some that say %26quot;Up to $1000 limit%26quot; and they only gave me $400 or something - I said forget it.|||yes it would be nice to know exactly how much credit they will give you to pay off all other cards, but unfortunately they dont. even when you call to apply and speak with a live person. all they do is file your application, they cant tell you anything until your card comes in the mail. sorry, wish i had more info|||no they dont and it sucks because i did the same thing ure trying to do and they didnt give me what i needed but aince they dont let you canncel they took everything they could and trasnferred it which was 5000 less than i needed. if i knew then i would have just cancelled my app!! makes me mad that they dont let you see if you really want it at that point!! you%26#039;ll just get the letter saying they transferred %26quot;such and such amount%26quot; and you will only have a little balance left and now you%26#039;ll have an additional card instead of one.|||Not possible-it will vary by credit score, income, and other factors.
