Why do they keep sending these offers to me at least 5 a week... if I already have a card with them?? How do I make it stop??
Why does capital one keep sending me credit card offers??credit card debt
Capital One is known for its %26quot;aggressive%26quot; marketing. However, you can opt-out of pre-screen credit card offers by going to:
https://www.optoutprescreen.com/
You can also call: 1-888-5-OPTOUT
If Capital One does not stop sending offers after you opt-out (it may take up to 60 days to process the request), send them an opt-out request directly and copy the Better Business Bureau, your State Attorney General%26#039;s Office and the Federal Trade Commission. Be sure to state that you are on the opt-out list (specify the date to show that Capital One is continuing to send you solicitations beyond the 60-day processing period). Be sure to send it certified, return receipt mail.
I always choose the 5-year opt-out instead of the permanent opt-out because the permanent opt-out requires that you mail in a verification form (snail mail) which may delay the process (who uses postal mail these days, anyway?). I prefer the 5 years of peace to start as soon as possible... I can re-submit my next 5 years when the initial 5-year opt-out period expires.
Also, if you move, you will need to submit a new opt-out request.

They do that with me as well, and I already have their credit card. Just throw the stuff away if you do not want it.|||Their probably doing it because you have good credit. Just call up your local Credit Union and tell them your already with them and you don%26#039;t need anymore offers from them. :O)|||They want you to get a credit card|||You cannot make them stop, I have tried endlessly. Fill them in with fake information and a fake name and send them in. That will keep them busy for awhile.|||you cant make it stop. Get those postage paid enevelopes out of %26#039;em, seal them (empty) and mail them back.|||they send to everyone, big company ! good card to have, use wisely ! they probably picked up a positive file on you somewhere along the line... good thing too !|||Cut any cards up.
Send the company a letter to let them know you already have a card and are not seeking anything further. Thank you.
