I want to stop banks from sending me credit card offers. How do I do it?

The national credit bureaus offer a toll-free number that enables consumers to opt-out of all pre-approved credit offers with just one phone call. Call 1-888-5-OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688) for more information.

This should remove your name for two years from all of the major credit bureaus鈥?mailing lists and it will limit the number of pre-approved credit solicitations that you receive.

Not much you can do to stop it, but when I get it I send in to every company other companies%26#039; offers. Kinda time consuming which is going against the point of wanting to not get it, but if everyone did this they are paying for the prepaid postage and it would cost them a pretty penny to send these offers to everyone every day.

They usually have a phone number to call to %26quot;to stop receiving prescreened offers.%26quot;|||write to all 3 credit bureaus requesting that no one is allowed to view your credit report for pre qualifications and then everytime you get one of those offers in the mail call the number on the offer and tell them to take you out of their system, if the rep says they cant ask for a supervisor. If you have one from CITI its called a nexi referral.|||call your bank and they can tick something on your profile
